Kid Fun Yoga Fall 2024 Newsletter

Dear Kid Fun Yoga Families,

‘Tis the season for cozy sweaters, Autumn leaves, hot apple cider, all things pumpkin spice, warm blankets, and a snoring dog or snoozing cat on your lap! There is nothing better than curling up on the couch with a good book or doing some yoga in this festive Fall weather!! I could go on and on….

Let me start by congratulating you! You have chosen to prioritize your child’s mental health and well-being. According to Harvard Health Publishing (Jan 2016), the benefits of yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve physical and mental health in school-age children. Did you know that kids have stress too?? Yoga reduces everyday stress by teaching kid’s tools and practices to self-regulate their emotions. I encourage you to breathe together, practice yoga as a family, and dance like no one is watching! Give yourself permission to be who you are.

Kid Fun Yoga has become my favorite muse, my happy place, a great source of inspiration, and a community of like-minded dreamers. My dream as a kid’s yoga teacher is to empower, motivate, and inspire our youth. The truth is that I am often the one to feel empowered, motivated, and inspired. I am humbled that I get to be your child’s yoga teacher and see-through rose-colored glasses my sweet little yogis who remind me to pause, be present, and to take a moment to enjoy the natural wonders and beauties of the world. Sometimes children are the best teachers in life. As adults, we tend to be so serious at times, perhaps feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders. Kids remind us to be joyful and to love the little things in life, like bubbles, rainbows, play time, dancing, singing, and laughter. Now that I am a grown up, I am reminded to be a “kid” again.

Love,
Miss Jenni
